The 11U brought home another championship trophy from Yakima at the 2011 USSSA 11U State Championship.
Update - Baseball Tryouts Scheduled
Tryout dates for 2012 teams have been set. Tryouts will be held at Big League Edge in Auburn July 20th, and at Newport High School in Bellevue on August 10th.

Update - Two Tournaments - Two Champions
The Eastside Select Sports 11U won the 2011 Lacey Classic tournament 11U championships. The 11U went 4-0 to capture the tournament championship. The Eastside Select Sports 12U won the 2011 Raymond's Tournament . The 12U avenged a loss to the FCA Titans in pool play by defeating them 18-8 in the Semi-Final game and then came from behind to beat Seattle Select Black 8-5 in the Championship game.
Update - A Clean Sweep
The Eastside Select Sports 11U and 12U baseball teams each won tournament championships in their respective age brackets in the Combat Spring Classic Baseball tournament. The 11U’s revenged an opening day loss to a strong Vipers team in the championship game. The 12U team went undefeated in pool play beating two Seattle Select teams and a select team from Redmond. AJ Lachini knocked in the tying run in the 6th inning to force extra innings and later drove in the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the 8th inning to bring home the championship.

Grade Hoopsters Win Championship
The Eastside Select Sports 4th Grade Boys Basketball team won the WTA Spring Championship at Juanita High School. This fanatical group is all about hooping it up.
Update – Spring in Arizona
The Eastside Select Sports 11U and 12U baseball teams kicked off their 2011 campaign with an exciting and fun filled trip to Arizona the week of March 17. Both teams competed in the Arizona Spring Championships at the phenomenal Big League Dreams complex in Gilbert, Arizona. The complex features 8 fields, each modeled after a big league ball park. The program held their own on the trip with a 5 – 5 record. The 12U group finished 3-2 and the 11U group went 2-3. Trust us when we say there is nothing better than a fun filled 5 day trip featuring sun, baseball, swimming and spring training baseball. The picture below shows the 12U group just before a game at the “Anaheim Angels” field.

The Eastside Select Sports baseball program represented the Northwest well at the Triple Crown World Series Tournaments. The 12U placed 4th in the elite D1 division out of 35 teams from across the U.S. in the tournament held in Park City, UT. The 11U placed 5th in the elite D1 division out of 36 teams from across the U.S. and Mexico in the tournament held in Steamboat Springs, CO.
The Eastside Select Sports baseball program had a very successful Father's Day weekend at the Triple Crown Tri-Cities Father's Day Slugfest Tournament. The 11U went 4-0 scoring 50 runs in the four games and giving up only 7 runs on their way to the 11U championship. The 12U played some great baseball against some formidable competition in the 31 team tournament and went 5-0 to bring home the 12U championship.

10U baseball coaches. Last year’s Eastside Select Sports 10U baseball team was 54
– 0 in the State of Washington against 10 year old competition. The team won 8 10U
tournaments including the Bellevue Pony Championship, the BPA State Championship
and the BPA World Series. The team also held its own against 11U competition. They
travelled the state and competed and had success against the toughest teams in the
state. Competition included Clark County Thunder (2-0); Maple Valley (6-0) and Stod’s
The Eastside Select Sports 11U and 12U baseball teams leave for Arizona on March 16th, 2011 for a 4-day, fun in the sun baseball tournament. Last year’s tournament included ultra competitive teams from Arizona, Texas, California and Colorado. The trip featured team bonding, a mariners spring training game, immaculate fields, and a very well organized tournament. “It was a great way to start the season and a trip we’re all looking forward to again this year.” says Don Maher, Head Coach of this year’s 11U baseball team
Eastside Select Sports is one of six programs in the state of Washington selected to participate in Big League Edge’s D1 Driven baseball program (www.bigleagueedge.com). Starting in October, 2011, teams in the Eastside Select Sports program will participate in BLE’s D1 Driven baseball system for its winter conditioning and spring and summer baseball activities. Benefits of participation include advanced instruction, private use of a state of the art facility, baseball camps and clinics and a structure and system for player development. “We’re very excited to have Eastside Select Sports participation in our program. They’re a well-run and organized group, focused on introducing the youngsters in its program to the best that baseball has to offer. They represent themselves very well and I’m confident they’ll represent BLE in the same way.” Said Jim Parque, former big leaguer and BLE founder. The Eastside Select Sports program, representing the geographic north for BLE, will participate in the inaugural launch of BLE’s D1 Driven program in the fall of 2011. Troy Anderson, Founder of Eastside Select Sports, is excited about the opportunities this relationship will create for players participating in the Eastside Select Sports program. “For parents and players with a passion for baseball, our association with BLE provides a structure and framework and system for player development before and during their high school years.”
The Eastside Select Sports 8th Grade Ladies bring home won the Mt. Si Wildcat Classic Tournament Championship over the MLK weekend. Led by Cherelle Demps’ 10 points, the ladies knocked off Seattle’s Hoopaholics 27–19 to earn a hard fought victory and avenge an earlier tournament loss to the same team. Tenacious defense, teamwork and timely baskets paved the way in the finale. "I’m really happy for the girls.", says Head Coach Eric Granberg. "They play as a team, are a very mentally tough group and expect to win games like this. When they turn it up and put it in lock down mode, it’s a lot of fun to watch."
